Who am I?
My name is Andy Norris, and I started doing photography to capture the life I live as best as possible. Joining the Air Force as a loadmaster on C-130s right out high school really creates an air of uncertain futures. I started out as a 20 year old kid traveling all over the world for work, only to come home to Delaware, which if anyone knows it, doesn’t have a lot going on. In an effort to capture and display what my life looked like, I picked up my first camera after my first deployment to the Middle East back in 2016. Instead of taking a photography course at school or learning from a mentor, I decided to take my new canon rebel T-6 to a beach in Australia and sit there for hours figuring out which buttons did what a good photo looked like. It took a couple of years, but having just turned 30, I finally feel like I’m doing a half decent job.
To this day I have been blessed enough to visit 35 countries, speak two languages, and am trying my best to live a life where continuous learning and exploring are at the forefront of my goals. I moved to Colorado during Covid-19 in 2020, and am lucky enough to have such a wonderful backyard of a state to call home. Continuously finding spots and exploring is on the current agenda, and that won’t be changing anytime soon. I now shoot with a Sony A7R III, and love to go photographing with others.
Whether this blog is just for an online way to keep myself accountable for sharing stories or if there’s someone out there who can benefit from reading this, all insights are welcome. I can’t wait to start sharing my stories, pictures, and journeys here!
